In case you want to sit on the specific level, make a special request at the time of booking, and there's a high chance that you will be seated accordingly (it can't be guaranteed, though).
Cruise options by Chao Phraya Princess Cruise
Chao Phraya Princess Cruise has several daily sunset and dinner cruises to offer:
- Sunset cruise departing from Asiatique Pier
- Dinner cruise departing from Asiatique Pier
- Dinner cruise departing from ICONSIAM Pier (2 departure times)
- Indian dinner cruise departing from Terminal 21 Rama 3 Pier
Detailed information about each of these dinner cruises is provided below.
1. Chao Phraya Princess sunset cruise from Asiatique
On the sunset cruise, you are boarding the boat in the daylight, seeing the sunset while cruising along the Chao Phraya River, and coming back at the time it gets dark. Therefore, on this cruise you won't see the main landmarks lit up.
The sunset cruise is shorter than the dinner cruise and lasts only 1.5 hours, so it's a good choice for travelers who don't want to get stuck on the boat for longer than that.
The sunset cruise is also significantly cheaper, even if it comes not only with a shorter duration but also with a smaller selection of meals on the menu. A big advantage for people who love to have a glass of beer with their meal is that free-flow beer is offered during the sunset cruise, so with this option you save even more!
The sunset cruise departs from Asiatique Pier.
When is the sunset cruise?
The sunset cruise timing:
Check-in Time: 16:00-16:45
Cruising Time: 17:00-18:30

The cruise is available daily. However, a different cruise schedule, menu, entertainment program, and pricing are normally applied on special occasions, such as New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, the Loy Krathong Festival, etc.

The dinner cruise is the most popular option, even if it is significantly more expensive. For a higher price, you are getting a longer cruise duration and a wider selection of meals on the menu, which includes steaks, sushi, sashimi, more varied seafood, and a few other dishes that are not available on the sunset cruise. However, the free-flow beer is not offered during the dinner cruise, and you need to pay for your drinks.

How to get to the cruise pier?
The Chao Phraya Princess Cruise lets you board the dinner cruise at three Chao Phraya River piers in Bangkok. You might wish to choose the cruise that departs from the pier that is more convenient for you to make sure that you are not missing the boarding time.
Asiatique The Riverfront Pier is one of the busiest cruise piers in Bangkok, as there you can also board other popular Bangkok dinner cruises such as the Royal Princess Cruise, the White Orchid River Cruise, and the Chao Phraya Cruise.
To reach Asiatique Pier, you need to take a taxi or use a combination of the BTS SkyTrain (Saphan Taksin Station) and the Asiatique free shuttle boat departing from Sathorn Pier.
ICONSIAM Pier is another popular Bangkok river cruise departure point, where you can board more than 10 cruises. To get to ICONSIAM, you can take an ICONSIAM shuttle boat from Si Phraya Pier, CAT Telecom Pier, or Sathorn Pier. Sathorn Pier can be reached by BTS, as it’s located next to Saphan Taksin Station.
Another option is taking the BTS to Krung Thonburi Station and then transferring to the Gold Line Train, which takes you right to ICONSIAM.
Terminal 21 Rama 3 Pier is located far from the city center with no city train lines passing nearby, so the only reasonable way to get there is by taking a Bangkok taxi.
